Sculpture Completed at Street Road Artist Space

I completed my sculpture at Street Road Artist Space last weekend. It consists of two and a half brick arches and a sunburst configuration that emerges from the earth and connects it to a large locust tree. The bricks I used are a combination of old recycled ones, many from the local community of Cochraneville in Chester County, PA, and my own salt glazed bricks. The sculpture draws attention to the rather obvious fact that bricks are made from clay/earth.
